Data controller
Natural Resources Wales (NRW) is the Data Controller and WiSS are the Data Processor for information submitted via the Nature and Us website. Nature and Us website
The Nature and Us website is hosted by a third party (WiSS) using an open-source platform called Wagtail CMS - Django Content Management System. All web content and direct enquiries made through the website are managed by WiSS.
What information do we collect about you?
When you visit the Nature and Us website, the only personal data will be collected via analytical cookies if they are accepted. No other personal information will be collected.

Who receives your information?
WiSS is the main data processor for data collected through the Nature and Us website. We also use third party processors and, as such, may share your information with them. The processing of this
information will be in line with the third parties’ privacy policy. The third-party processors we use are as follows:
- Natural Resources Wales, as the project owner, will have access to all data collected and processed as part of the Nature and Us project.
- WiSS Web Services who host the Nature and Us website
- Google analytics to assist us in the improvement and optimisation of the Nature and Us web site.
How long will your information be held?
The only data held will relate to the Cookies via Google Analytics. This data will be reviewed periodically for website traffic and maintenance and will not be stored beyond this requirement.
What are your individual rights?
You have a right to access your personal information, to object to the processing of your personal information, to rectify, to erase, and to restrict processing of your personal data.
Any requests or objections should be made in writing to the NRW Data Protection Officer.
Security of your information
All information you provide to us is stored on secure servers.
Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.
